Baku is hosting the Russian-Azerbaijani Dialogue-2012 with a presentation of a report on prospects of economic cooperation between the two states within the framework of formin the Eurasian modernization project under the auspices of the North-South Center. A co-author of the report Ismail Agakishiyev said that economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and states of the Single Economic Space has good prospects.
Goals and principles of Eurasian integration meet the heritage of Heydar Aliyev who wanted a strong and independent economy.
The report was made by specialists of the Political Center for Development of Science and Educational Links with Caucasus States North-South with assistance of Russian and Azerbaijani political analysts and economists.
Baku needs to take into account that integration processes of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will reach new levels and change the trade reality of Azerbaijan and socio-political standards of the CIS.
Azerbaijan prefers the multi-vector course and flexible pragmatic alliances. Baku sets medium distance in Russian integration processes. It has active ties with other CIS members.
Baku has successful achievements in cooperation with Minsk, Kishinev, Bishkek, Kiev. There are good prospects for mutually beneficial interaction within the framework of the Eurasian project and Azerbaijan.
