Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton have discussed Georgian parliamentary polls in Brussels, Trend reports.
Saakashvili confirmed readiness to organize democratic and clear elections and wants numerous international observers to monitor the process. All political parties will have equal rights and access to mass media.
The sides expressed satisfaction with negotiations on free trade and visa-free regime. Saakashvili expressed hope that negotiations would be concluded in 12-18 months.
