Deal on Baku-Novorossiysk Oil Pipeline will see changes this year

The intergovernmental deal on the Baku-Novorossiysk Oil Pipeline will have adjustments introduced this year, as stated by Mikhail Pleshkin, Deputy Director of the Department for International Cooperation of the Russian Energy Ministry, Trend reports.


The deputy director attended the round-table conference on joint Russian-Azerbaijani energy projects at the third Azerbaijani-Russian interregional forum Russian-Azerbaijani Dialogue-2012.


Azerbaijani Deputy Minister for Industry and Energy Natig Abbasov said that the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) and Transneft were negotating the amendments.

Launch of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Supsa pipelines will provide an advanced network oil pipelines, improve energy independence and security.
