Armenia-EU visa simplification talks to be over soon

The third round of visa simplification talks between Armenia and the EU was held on Thursday, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told News.am. The Armenian delegation is headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.

The sides stated that work has progressed since February 2012 and the talks will come to an end soon.

The procedure of issuing Schengen visas to Armenian citizens will be simplified. Besides the talks, Armenia and the EU are negotiating a readmission agreement, which will regulate issues of people who live in the EU and Armenia without residence permits.
