The Syrian military have sent 170 tanks and other armored vehicles to the Turkish border, General Moustafa al-Sheikh of the Free Syrian Army said, Trend reports.
The tanks moved to the village of Muselmiye, 30 km from the Turkish border. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent additional forces to the border on Tuesday, saying that Bashar al-Assad's regime threatens Turkish security.
A Turkish RF-4E was shot down after taking off from the Erkhach Air Base in Malatia Province. Radars lost track of it after 1.5 hours last Friday. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said its remains fell in Syrian territorial waters.
