Russia postpones ratification of WTO membership until July 10

The Russian parliament has postponed ratification of WTO membership until July 10, as stated on Friday by Igor Rudensky, head of the parliamentary committee for economic policy, innovative development and business, RIA Novosti reports.


The protocol on Russian membership will be considered at a plenary session on July 4. The Constitutional Court will consider it on July 3 and make decisions on July 9.


The committee will have an expanded session on July 2. MPs and related ministers will answer questions of opposition factions and public associations about WTO prospects.
