Saudi Arabia stops issuing hajj visas to Iranians

Starting June 20, Saudi Arabia's hajj authorities stopped issuing visas for some Islamic nations' pilgrims including Iran's, Trend informs.

Iran's Hajj Organization says it hasn't been able to get information from its Saudi counterpart about issuing of the visas from June 20 on, Fars news agency reported.

It appears that those pilgrims who have their visas can go ahead with their trip but the departure date may change. About 4,500 Iranians leave for their hajj every day.

Saudi Arabia's Hajj ministry says it's looking into the matter.
