Two counterfeiters were caught with 2 million rubles of 5000 and 1000-ruble banknotes on the Leningradskaya Street in Makhachkala in Dagestan. 100 more 5000-ruble banknotes were found, RIA Dagestan reports.
The counterfeiters also tried to sell three pistols, one with a silencer. They carried a total of about 300,000 rubles and ammo. One of them had printing equipment at home, used for printing false documents and money.
The operations was organized by the police and FSB of Dagestan, Adygeya, Stavropol Territory, Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region and North Caucasian Federal District.
