Six cases of skin anthrax in Dagestan

Specialists have confirmed six people infected with skin anthrax in Dagestan, RIA Novosti cites Ruslan Ozdemirov, Veterinary Chief of the Directorate of the Russian Agriculture Ministry in Dagestan.

Six people, including a pregnant woman, were hospitalized in the Akhvakhsky District of Dagestan last week. Russian Chief Sanitary Inspector Gennady Onishenko said that the disease was not a threat to their lives.

Specialists say that the patients were infected by a bull they bought without documents.
