A mobile customs office has been launched at the Adler control post in Sochi at the Russian-Abkhaz border, RIA Novosti reports.
It will simplify customs procedures when crossing the border. The new customs complex is one of the most efficient instruments of customs control for heavy vehicles. Scanning takes only 3-5 minutes. Detection of hidden cargo requires no cutting.
Detection instruments may see through 280 mm steel without excess of radiation.
The complex may process 25 vehicles per hour.
The customs complex is based on a Mercedes car. The complex may move to wherever needed. It may be used at the cargo district of the Sochi Seaport at River Mzymta where a special platform was organized.
