Grigory Rapota: Collective Security Treaty Organization to continue developing despite withdrawal of Uzbekistan

Organization of the Collective Security Treaty will continue developing despite the fact that Uzbekistan has suspended its membership in the organization, the secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, Grigory Rapota, told RIA Novosti.

Rapota could not say what exactly will be the impact of the withdrawal of Uzbekistan on the organization. He recalled that Uzbekistan used to be a member of the Eurasian Economic Community and also left the organization.

Rapota also found it difficult to speak about the motivation of the decision taken by Uzbekistan.

As reported previously by VK, Uzbekistan sent a note to the CSTO Secretariat to suspend its participation in the organization.
