Iran intends to close Strait of Hormuz in response to EU sanctions

The Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy of Iran has
developed a draft law on the closure of the Hormuz Strait for oil
tankers travelling to countries that supported sanctions against
Tehran, Interfax reports referring to the Iranian media.

An Iranian member of parliament, Ibrahim Agha-Mohammadi, said that the
bill is a response to the introduction of EU sanctions against the
Islamic Republic of Iran.
