Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said that the crisis cannot be settled as long as foreign powers continue interfering in Syria and supporting opposition, RIA Novosti reports.
Al-Assad split the process in three steps. The first one is organization of peaceful actions like in Egypt and Tunisia where people were first paid $10 and then $50. The second stage was formation of free zones like the Benghazi in Libya where people received weapons. The new stage is attacks on state facilities and civilians, kidnappings.
The Syrian president blamed the US and other states for supporting terrorism. He believes that foreign states want to split Syria and start a civil war. Al-Assad said that reforms will continue to resolve the conflict.
