Over 1,700 Chechen police officers have been moved to Dagestan, head of the Interior Ministry of the North Caucasian Federal District Sergey Chenchik said, RIA Novosti reports.
The situation in Chechnya, as in other regions of the federal district, is improving, Chenchik noted. 800 more officers will arrive from Chechnya to Dagestan to control transport before autumn.
