Iran has opened a Security Operation Center (SOC) for protection from cyber attacks, Trend reports.
The center was formed by the Pishgamane Kavir Group. It is testing technologies. The center will be launched on July 18.
Mohammad Ali Ageli, head of one of the companies in the Pishgamane Kavir Group, said that it is the first such center in Iran. It will protect banks, insurance companies, military and private companies.
Ageli said that the center processes and controls some 100 networks at the same time.
Iranian petroleum storages experiences the Flame virus in April. Iran uses own AV software.
Flame is a virus designed by the US and Israel, BBC says. The virus was to drag development of the Iranian nuclear program. It was only a stage in the secret anti-Iranian operation.
