The chairman of the State Duma (the lower chamber of the Russian parliament), Sergey Naryshkin, will visit Azerbaijan on July 7-9, the Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vladimir Dorokhin, told Trend.
"It's an official visit of the chairman to CIS countries. Azerbaijan is one of the first post-Soviet countries he will visit," the ambassador said.
This year, Azerbaijan and Russia celebrate the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.
Naryshkin will meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and parliamentary speaker Oktay Asadov
