Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says that Russia and the US have more opportunities to cooperate than confront, Golos Rossii reports.
The sides may cooperate in using nuclear energy, high technologies, science and education. Together they may enforce global stability and settle regional conflicts.
Mitt Romney, the former Governor of Massachusetts (Republican), commented on the meeting of Russian and US presidents in Seoul in March saying that the main geopolitical enemy of the US was Russia, rather than Iran or China. The White House spokesman Jay Carney later condemned the statement.
