An international mass media forum opened on Friday, participated in by
60 media representatives from southern Russia, Abkhazia and South
Ossetia in the capital of Adygeya – Maikop, RIA Novosti reports,
citing the presidential press-service of the republic.
This is the fourth forum, which started out as a meeting of
journalists from Adygeya and Kuban. This forum is set to discuss the
efforts of the press and authorities to realize the plans of
modernizing Russia and its regions, the press-service reported, citing
the President of Adygeya Aslan Tkhakushinov.
The forum will last 3 days, with the participation of the head of
‘Izvestia’ newspaper Mikhail Mamontov, vice-president of the fund of
information policy development Mikhail Viatkin and deputy head of the
Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Council on local
administration Alexey Panasiuk.
