The Iranian embassy in Armenia denied information that Tehran was on a
military footing and is concentrating forces at the Azerbaijani
border, 1news.az reports.
Agency Regnum, citing the Israeli analytical center DEBKA, reported
that Iran decided to introduce a state of emergency on its
north-western borders. The source said that the US and Israel are
concentrating on air bases in Azerbaijan and are ready to strike
Iranian nuclear facilities. The source cited an Iranian general,
Mekhdi Moini. According to Moini, the western countries were trying to
aggravate local interethnic conflicts.
