Iran improves missiles

The Pentagon said that Iran was improving accuracy and power of low-range ballistic missiles, Newsland reports.

US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta signed a report for the Congress on June 29, 2012. The document says that Iran holds military drills all over the country, arms itself with new ships and submarines. It will be able to test the new intercontinental ballistic missile in 2015.

The document includes points on the nuclear program, military support of Syria, Hisbollah in Lebanon, Palestine's Hamas and Iraqi Shiites.

Tehran continues development of Shihab-3 and Sejil missiles, capable of hitting Israel and Europe.

Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps held the Great Prophet-7 military drills in early July, coinciding with coming of the petroleum embargo into force.
