South Korea plans to import Iranian oil

The South Korean government is considering importing Iranian oil, after Iran
offered to send the oil on its own tankers, insured at the expense of
Tehran, RIA Novosti reports referring to Fars News.
"Seoul is thinking about the Iranian offer," said one of the
interlocutors. According to the information, Iran offered to insure
the oil tankers for one billion dollars. The sources of the agency say
that South Korea cannot follow the Japanese way and insure the tankers
at their own expense after the European companies refused to insure
them.
