Referendum in Kyrgyzstan

All polling stations for the referendum on the amendments in the constitution and of confidence in the new authorities have opened in Kyrgyzstan at 8 am (6 am Moscow time), RIA Novosti reports, with reference to a representative of the Electoral Commission.
2281 polling stations are open today. According to the Central Electoral Commission of Kyrgystan, 2.7 million people have the right to vote in the republic. More than 90 journalists from more than 30 foreign media are accredited to cover the event.

There is one question on the ballot - do citizens agree "to approve the constitution of the republic of Kyrgyzstan and the law 'On bringing into operation a new constitution', projects of which are proposed by the provisional government in the referendum".
