Abkhaz President Alexander Ankvab has met Knut Vollebaek, the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, in Sukhumi, Apsnypress reports.
The OSCE official expressed hope for fruitful cooperation with the Abkhaz authorities. He noted interest in the problem of studies of Abkhazian and Georgian languages at the Galsky District.
Abkhazia has no problems in studies of languages, Vollebaek said.
The OSCE representative believes that the process of the Geneva talks is too slow. He promised to write a report about his visit to the region and will present it to Ankvab.
Vollebaek met the secretary of the Abkhaz Security Council, the foreign and education ministers and other officials.
