The co-chairs of Geneva discussions Philipp Lefaure (EU), Antti Turunen (UN) and Padrig Murphy (OSCE) have met Abkhaz Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Chirikba, Apsnypress reports.
Lafaure called the meeting constructive and emphasized that the agenda for the new round of talks has not been discussed, because it will only be held in October.
Turunen, chairman of the five-sided meetings of the mechanism for prevention of incidents, expressed concerns over developments at the Galsky District. He urged all sides to avoid tensions.
Chirikba expressed interest in renewal of the mechanism, as an efficient process.
Lefaure commented on the resolution of the UN General Assembly passed in early July and condemned by Abkhazia. He noted that the resolution was annual and should not have such emotional reaction. There a political debates in New York, the talks in Geneva concern refugees and displaced people.
