Gang leader killed in Dagestan

The leader of an illegal armed gang has been killed in Dagestan, the TV channel Vesti reports.
Dzhamalutdin Dzhavatov was wanted for murders of citizens and police officers. He was killed during a special operation which began on Friday. One Interior Ministry officer was killed and two policemen were wounded during the fighting between the villages of Karabudahkent and Chankurbye.
