Russia is ready to send 30 military personnel to Syria in the framework of the UN mission heading to the country, RIA Novosti reports.
The decision was made by President Vladimir Putin, official sources said.
The UN Security Council delayed a vote on a Western-backed resolution that threatens the Syrian authorities with sanctions and is aimed at ending the continuing conflict.
