The faction of the ruling Christian Democratic Union party in the German Bundestag issued a statement saying that the presidential elections held in the unrecognized republic of Nagorno-Karabakh complicate the ongoing peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Berlin told VK.
"Germany and the European Union consider Nagorno-Karabakh to be a part of the Azerbaijani Republic," the statement reads.
Neither Germany nor the EU recognized the parliamentary elections held in Karabakh last year.
