North Ossetia and the Silicon Valley Innovation Center plan to sign a technological cooperation deal. The Innovative Center plans to visit Vladikavkaz in autumn.
Education and Science Minister of North Ossetia Alan Ogoyev said that the visit includes online courses of the Stanford University and North Ossetian higher education centers and school and exchange of students. Heads of investment programs and representatives of Google, Oracle, Facebook, Interl, officials of venture funds, associations and businessmen are expected to arrive, Yuga.ru reports.
Alan Salbiyev, head of the section for science and information technologies of the North Ossetian Ministry for Education and Science, visited the Innovation Center in June. Vice President of the Californian Innovation Center Ilya Groen visited Vladikavkaz in July. He has contacts with Rosnano, Russian Venture Company, Skolkovo Fund, Saint-Petersburg State University, ITAR-TASS reports.
North Ossetia has direct contacts with Microsoft. 10 startup businessmen of North Ossetia will gain access to Microsoft’s computing resources worth $3700 each.
Microsoft will provide legal copies of software and cloud computing services, Minister Alan Ogoyev said. Director General of Exprasys, an Ossetian innovation enterprise, Sergey Voloshin said that the company received the software that would cost tens of thousands of dollars.
