Turkey has called its General Consul Adnan Ceceji off from Aleppo today, RIA Novosti reports.
Turkey closed its embassy in Damascus in March. The consulate general was the only Turkish diplomatic mission in Syria. Whether it will be closed as well or not is unclear. Ankara threatened to pass further sanctions against Syria earlier.
Turkey closed a border post on the border with Syria last week.
