Kadyrov: no Chechens involved in Syrian fighting

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, described information on the participation of natives of Chechnya in fighting in Syria as an obvious lie, the site of the head of government of Chechnya says.

“We remember that during active military actions in Afghanistan the mass media cited Western politicians and military men and stated that about ten thousand Chechens were fighting against the coalition armies in this country… This new lie resembles that situation. As if somebody has heard that another man said that Chechens are fighting among them. Who said it? To whom did he say it? Where is the evidence? There is none and could not be,” Kadyrov stated.
