The Iranian police have started confiscating satellite antennae in Bukan in the Western Azerbaijan Province, APA reports.
Such operations have become more common during Ramadan. The first time a person gets caught using a satellite antenna is punished with a fine. Using it again is punished with more severe actions.
The Iranian government says that satellite antennae are harmful for moral standards and family relations. Confiscation of antennae has been ongoing for over a year in Iran.
