Ramil Yunusov, the imam of the Kul Sharif Mosque in Kazan, considered the ideological opponent of Tatarstan Mufti Ildus Fayzov, has reportedly resigned as the Deputy Director of Kazansky Kreml and went to London. The Izvestia paper said that it had something to do with the recent attack on Fayzov, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.
The Kul Sharif Mosque confirmed that Yunusov remains its imam. He did go on vacation four days ago, but he remained in Kazan, not London or Brazil.
