The suspected organizer of the blast that killed high-ranking Syrian officials has been arrested, RIA Novosti reports.
The organizer turns out to be a Syrian MP Mohammad Zahir Ghanoum caught in Damascus. According to investigators he was hired by Qatar, Turkey, Israel or the US.
The blast at the headquarters of the National Security Service of Syria happened on July 18. Defense Minister General Dawood Rajiha, his deputy Asef Shawkat (a relative of President Bashar al-Assad) and Assistant Vice-President and head of the anti-crisis headquarters Hasan at-Turkmeni died. Head of the Security Service General Hisham Bahtiyar died two days after the attack.
