Turkey closes Syrian border

Turkey is closing all border posts at Syria, Minister for Customs Affairs Hayati Yasinci said, RIA Novosti reports.

13 border posts were closed at the 900-kilometer frontier of Turkey and Syria as part of the Turkish sanctions against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The Free Syrian Army has made numerous attacks on border posts. The Bab-el-Salam post north of Aleppo was captured on Sunday. Ban-el-Hava and Jarablus were captured earlier. Two border posts on the Syrian-Iraqi border were captured.

Turkey plans to open three more camps for Syrian refugees. About 45,000 people from Syria remain in Turkey as refugees.
