Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in the flood-hit Gelendzhik and met pregnant women and children, RIA Novosti reports.
The women and children are currently resting at the Krasnaya Talka Sanatorium. Putin will then have a council with federal and municipal administrators to discuss Krymsk.
The Krasnodar Territory had a flood on the night of July 7. Over 7,200 houses in Gelendzhik, Krymsk and Novorossiysk were submerged. Energy, gas and water systems, roads and railways were damaged. Krymsk experienced the heaviest rain. Over 170 people died in the region.
Putin is making his third visit to the disaster-struck region.
