Georgia protests Olympic labeling of S.Ossetia as 'Russia'

The National Olympic Committee of Georgia has filed a letter to organizers of the Olympic games in London, Interfax reports.

The message published on Wednesday can be found at www.london2012.com, the official website of the games. The problem is that a Russian athlete Besik Kudukhov stated “South Ossetia” as his birthplace, while Denis Tsargush stated “Gudayt” (a city in Abkhazia).

The birthplaces of South Ossetia and Gudaut have “Russia” written in brackets. Georgia protests against it.
