Azerbaijani border guards inspected the Turkmen fishing vessel "Gunkhan" as part of control over the navigation regime in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea near the Kapaz field, Trend cites the Azerbaijani State Border Service as saying.
Due to the fact that registration documents were not submitted, the vessel was detained and officially handed over to a ship of the Turkmen Border Service Coast Guard to carry out the necessary procedures.
As the report released on Thursday says, the incident occurred on July 24.
The fishing vessel was inspected by a vessel of the Coast Guard of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan in the central part of the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, south-west of the Kapaz field.
