Ukraine ratifies agreement on CIS free trade zone

 

The Ukrainian parliament has ratified the agreement forming a free trade zone within the framework of the CIS today, RIA Novosti reports.

260 MPs voted for ratification (226 needed). Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych introduced the bill last week. Its text was initialed a year ago, but the document was signed in October 2011.

Ukraine was the third out of nine states to ratify the document. Russia and Belarus were the first two.
