Syrian opposition has captured the Anadan border post 8 km north-west of Aleppo at 5 am today, rebel General Abdel Nasser said, RIA Novosti reports.

Salah ed-Din was reportedly taken under control on Monday.

The battle for Aleppo between President Bashar al-Assad and opposition is considered a decisive one. Opposition wants to capture Aleppo and then Idlib.

The conflict in Syria has been ongoing since March 2011, The UN says that over 16,000 people have died. Syrian authorities say that it faces well-armed opposition. Russia and China believe that Assad’s resignation would escalate the conflict.
