Tajikistan has started restoring access to websites blocked two days ago, RIA Novosti reports.
Vesti, Lenta.ru, Ferghananews.com, Pamir-vesti.ru, Ozodagon.tj and YouTube remain blocked in the country. No comments by the Tajik military have been made on the issue.
Tajik Intelligence Chief General Abdullo Nazarov was killed in Khorog, the administrative center of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous District on July 24. An operation in response to the murder resulted in 30 militants killed and 40 detained. 17 police officers were killed and 40 injured. One civilian died.
