The Governmental Commission of Georgia on Migration has presented a draft of a new migration strategy and policy, Trend reports.
The head of the Georgian Civil Registry Agency, Giorgi Gabrielashvili, said the new strategy helps to control migration and manage the resettlement process.
"Our project includes all the pressing aspects in connection with deepening of our relations with the EU and other international organisations," Gabrielashvili said.
He also noted that adoption of the new concept will put an end to all rumours about migration from Georgia.
According to the opposition and some experts, citizens are still leaving Georgia searching for a better life abroad.
