Georgian CEC operates in emergency regime

The Georgian Central Electoral Commission has started operating in an emergency regime, preparing electoral commissions in 73 districts, Trend reports.

CEC Chairman Zurab Kharatishvili said that 33 applications from political parties had been received. The list is growing. Applications are accepted until 6 pm on August 5.

The parliamentary polls in Georgia will cost 29 million laris ($1 = 1.65 laris). Polls were set for October 1. 48,000 people will be working in the electoral administration.
