Russia has promised to consider a loan to Syria, Syrian Finance Minister Mohammed Zhleylyati told a news
conference at RIA Novosti on Friday.
"This issue was raised with the Russian side. It is proposed that
Russia might to lend Syria certain amount of hard currency to cope
with the current situation in the country," he said. "We were
promised that this issue would be discussed," Zhleylyati said.
