The support provided by to the anti-government armed groups in Syria contradicts the earlier resolutions of the UN and Kofi Annan's plan, said in Friday statement the deputy head of the Department of Press and Information Maria Zakharova, RIA Novosti reports referring to Russian Foreign Ministry,
"We once again are forced to conclude that the help and support provided to the armed opposition contradicts both the consensus resolutions of the UN Security Council on Syria and Kofi Annan's plan, that stresses the core peaceful solution through negotiations and dialogue instead of promoting a bloody activity of illegal Syrian armed groups," reads the statement posted on the MFA website.
