Special EU representative for South Caucasus arrives in Baku

The special representative of the EU for the South Caucasus, Peter
Semnebi, arrived in Baku today. His visit is due to the concern of EU
about the violations of the ceasefire regime on the border line
between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces, Trend reports.


Concerning his visit to Nagorno-Karabakh, Semnebi said that no
decision had been made on the issue yet. He will continue his visit
until July 1st. Semnebi will meet Azerbaijani authorities to discuss
topical issues, including the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, the
upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan in early November,
energy issues and cooperation with the EU.
