Iranian foreign minister to visit Turkey

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi will make an unscheduled visit to Turkey and meet his counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu, Trend reports.

Salehi had a telephone conversation with foreign ministers of Turkey and Qatar to discuss the release of 48 Iranian pilgrims that have been detained by the free Syrian Army in Damascus.

They were detained on the way from the Damascus International Airport to Damascus on August 4. A video posted on YouTube said that they were Iranian spies, not pilgrims. The Iranian Foreign Ministry denied any military background of the pilgrims.
