Iranian Vice President Hamed Baqai on Tuesday arrived in Cairo to deliver invitation to Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi for the summit of Non-aligned Movement (NAM), Trend reports.
The summit will take place at the end of August. Iranian Vice President Hamed Baqai became the highest Iranian official to visit Egypt after the two sides cut their diplomatic ties.
The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is a group of states considering themselves not aligned formally with or against any major power bloc. As of 2012, the movement had 120 members and 21 observer countries.
Reportedly, some 30 international companies, organizations and observers will be joining the summit.
