Turkish Vice Premier Bulent Arync said at a meeting with an Armenian community that the events in 1915 were a tragedy for Turks as well, News Armenia reports.
He said that it was a complicated period: the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, Trapizon, Malatia and the murder of the Agos newspaper's Grant Dink in Istanbul in 2007.
The vice premier emphasized that the Turkish government was upset about the reduction of foreign communities.
