The number of people applying for a visa to Iran has significantly increased in recent days, so Iran's consulate in Baku has taken several measures to ease conditions for issuing visas, spokesman of the embassy Abbas Iskenderi told Trend.
He noted that a number of procedures required before issuing a visa have been cancelled. Special privileges are granted for sick people travelling to Iran for treatment. If they have medical documentation from a doctor, then a visa to them is issued faster.
"In addition, despite the fact that tomorrow (on Friday) is a day of mourning in Iran - the day of the death of the Prophet Ali - the consulate will issue visas," Iskenderi said.
