A militant killed on Friday in Dagestan was identified as the head of
the so-called Tabasaran gang, the National Anti-terrorism Committee
(NAC) of the Russian Federation reported, RIA-Novosti reports.
Law enforcement officials in Dagestan surrounded a militant in a
private house in the Tabasaran region.
According to NAC, Ismailov, a native and resident of the village of Mamedkala
in the Derbent district joined the gang in 2009, ITAR-TASS
reports. According to the national operational headquarters of NAC, he
was involved in numerous crimes of a terrorist nature.
